Our Story
After Ian McNicol became a Red Seal Journeyman Carpenter in 1988, he began working for himself in the construction industry. Shortly after Garian Construction was incorporated, Ian started to put down his tools and pouch when managing his construction projects became a full-time job. Throughout the next 30+ years, the company grew from a few carpenters working from a half-ton truck to a professional construction company that serves Yarmouth, Shelburne & Digby Counties (and occasionally beyond).
Two of Ian's sons, Trevin & Brandon joined the team in 2008 & 2017, respectively. They are the 2nd generation of Garian Construction, and are proud to work for the family-owned business.
Since “Our Story” began, we have met many great people who have become our long-term clients & friends. We are very fortunate for all the new friendships made from each project, and for our great employees who have helped us grow to the construction company we are today.
